How is a red brochure actually created?

The "Red Brochure" is not a product of chance, but the result of real teamwork across company boundaries. At the beginning there is a large collection of ideas: practical experience, new standards and scientific findings are compiled. In addition, the forewords are requested, input from our AKI ambassadors from the international markets is incorporated, scientific studies are initiated in order to integrate results in a justifiable way. All this together results in a first formal data set, which now has to be brought into shape.

Because then experts from industry and practice take over the individual chapters. Together, an initial draft is created – today mostly digitally, often in parallel and always with a lot of coordination.

After that, the real "supreme discipline" begins: several intensive review rounds. Every formulation is questioned, comments are collected, discussed and incorporated – until the content and practical relevance are really right.

At the end, the layout is fine-tuned and a final check is carried out before all those involved give the green light.

A few anecdotes from the current development of the anniversary brochure:

The "half-time insight":

In a review session lasting several hours, the team found that after hours of intensive discussions... had just made it to Chapter 6. Result: additional date. And more coffee.

The journey of a commentary:

A single suggestion for improvement went through three loops, was slightly reformulated, deepened technically – and in the end almost ended up back with the original proposal. Only better justified.

The legendary comma:

In a discussion in review round 2, it was longer about a comma than an entire paragraph. Conclusion: Small signs, big effect.

Many minds, one common goal: practicality.

Step by step, the result is a work that not only bundles knowledge – but also provides real suitability for everyday use.

and this is really inside:
